70 young people took part in three participatory workshops exploring their views of hot spot policing. Inspired by protest art, they made their recommendations through protest banners, some of which were collated into a leaflet for young people to share with adults. 

Their messages included:

• Stop stereotyping us and actually listen to us
• Develop trust with communities
• Stop police racism and improve cultural awareness, and redistribute police funds to other local services
